Original source HERE On Hofo and other forums lot of people just can't use Cell Info/Broadcatsing Feature (Location Info Feature)
Usually it is used to get our Current Location (City). Also known as Area Info..
So Here is My Guide for The Same
Go to...
Messages>Info Srvc Message>Setup (or press Menu and Info Srvc Message Setup)
Now in Cell/General Broadcast Option..
Enable Service (Service=On)
Active Channel=50 (in some country 141/144)
Q.View (Quick View)=50 (as per Active Channel)
Save Q.View=Yes (if you want to have all Info Messages to be stored on the phone) else NO (Recommended)
Make sure in Ringstyle Info Srvc Message Alert is Set to Silent coz it will consume lot of Battery..
But Whenever the location changes, backlight starts automatically as if receiving a message. Although I suggest to set backlight option to 5 Sec. and even if you set it to 10 Sec. it is not going to consume more Battery..!!!
